Rock Center Café (Rockefeller Center, 20 W. 50th Street) has partnered with Broadway’s Fiddler on the Roof to create a special “Fiddler Feast” for patrons seeing the Broadway performances and fans.
For $39.00 (plus tax, gratuity and beverages) theatre-goers can experience a special three-course meal featuring Rock Center Café’s Chef Antonio Prontelli’s modern take on the cuisine of the shtetl. Fiddler on the Roof is set in a small village in Imperial Russia at the turn of the last century. Dishes showcase the flavors of the Jewish family life at the center of the show, bringing it to life for guests with Matzoh Ball Soup, Potato Latkes, Za’atar Spiced Roast Chicken, Pierogis, Beef Brisket and Chocolate Babka, just like bubbe used to make. Rock Center Café is conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from the Broadway Theatre, and reservations are timed to the performances.
The new Fiddler on the Roof production brings a fresh and authentic vision to the beloved theatrical masterpiece from Tony winner Joseph Stein and Pulitzer Prize winners Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick. Tony®-winning director Bartlett Sher leads a wonderful cast and a lavish orchestra to tell this heartwarming story of fathers and daughters, husbands and wives, and the timeless traditions that define faith and family. Featuring the Broadway classics “To Life,” “If I Were a Rich Man,” “Sunrise, Sunset,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker” and “Tradition,” Fiddler on the Roof will introduce a new generation to this uplifting celebration that raises its cup to joy! To love! To life!
